Dawyck Botanical Gardens and the Websters
From Juniper Green we drove down to the Dawyck Botanical Gardens - an off shoot of the Royal B.G.s in Edinburgh - where we were to meet up with Hilary and Gordon Webster from Yarrow Fues.
We had lunch there first with Hilary and Gordon
Then we went for a stroll round the Gardens themselves. Here is Dawyck House which used to own the whole lot. They have their own private entrance to the gardens. People like us were not allowed passed the chain across the path
We were surround by the huge old trees
The it was time to walk out to go to Ettrick. Note the "Wipe your feet" notice. A disinfectant pad to clean your shoes as you walked in and out.
